Name: Adam Bloodworth Hair: None Eyes: White Height: 7'6" / 30'0" (3 stories) Weight: 600 Lbs. / 12,000 Lbs. (6 tons) Birth Country: Canada Birth City: Toronto Occupation: Science and Engineering Consultant Group Affiliation: ANGEL Corps Base of Operations: The Synidome Character: Origins: Adam Bloodworth grew up as a frail, spindly kid with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency Syndrome that required him to live in a sterile environment. Fortunately, Adam's family was wealthy enough to continue top-notch treatments and make his life as comfortable as possible. The best tutors were hired to keep his mind engaged and they all found Adam to have an inexhaustible appetite for more and more knowledge, from quantum physics to poetry, from applied mathematics to nuclear engineering. In time Adam had mastered a staggering array of knowledge disciplines and had set up an internet business as a theoretical physics consultant. At 23, his medical condition worsened and he was given only months to live. He declined rapidly, losing his hair, becoming emaciated and experiencing great pain that no medications seemed to be able to blunt. Nearing death, Adam became one of the few humans affected by the global phenomenon later dubbed "The Neogen Flux" which caused a dramatic alteration in his genetic structure. Adam's pain immediately subsided as he began to regain strength and appetite. Within days Adam was able to sit up in his bed, was lucid and appeared to be gaining weight. By the end of the week, Adam's physique looked better than it ever had. He was no longer skinny and he even began to appear more muscular without working out. When a medical team examined his blood, they found it perfectly healthy with no trace of his SCIDs disease. They were floored however to find a chain of blood cells inexplicably morphing from one type of cell to the next: from blood cells to skin cells to bone cells to muscle cells and so on. Flabbergasted, they dubbed them univercells. Adam was overjoyed at his healthy turn and instinctively felt his SCIDs ailment was in remission. He begged to leave the sterile environment but was refused. Frustrated and angry he threw a text book across the room and smashed a glass-topped shade perched atop a heavy torchiere. As it toppled over, the razor-sharp edge punctured a hose and breached the sealed environment. After a few tense moments and no ill effects, Adam's suspicions were confirmed. The family was ecstatic over their newfound miracle, but Adam's changes did not stop. He grew freakishly large, more muscular, more swollen, developed a heavy brow, developed completely white eyes and never regained his hair. Though doctors could not confirm any kind of infection, they were unable to diagnose Adam's condition. Their recommendation was for Adam to take advantage of the UN's offer to research suspected victims of "The Neogen Flux." Prior to arriving, Adam stumbled onto an ability to shapeshift his form into other humans. It would prove to be just the beginning of his scope of changes, courtesy of his univercellular structure. Powers: Exerting the kind of effort it would take to grit your teeth and hold it, Corpus can assume and "hold" the physical appearance of any human and their clothing. The unique univercells also afford him instant healing. It would take nothing short of complete cellular destruction to kill Adam Bloodworth because he can recreate his entire body from a single univercell through instantaneous replication taking less than a second. Shifting most univercells to tough bone or muscle, Corpus can create a bodily structure capable of tremendous feats of strength. As blood cells, Corpus can flow like water. By selectively eliminating nerve cells, Adam can suppress pain. Adam may stumble across some unknown measure of mind powers if enough of his body converted to brain cells. Adam uses self-deprecating humor as a device to offset his displeasure over his new relaxed-state appearance although having the option to shapeshift into a Hollywood heart-throb Pitt may hold certain advantages he has yet to explore. Adam's rapid shapeshifting abilities earned him a classification as a unique "chameleonic organism." By psionically driving his univercellular structure, he triggers instantaneous changes. Exigon, one of the ANGEL Corps' venerated combat systems trainers, was the first one to nickname him Corpus, a latin word for "body" and an acronym for Chamelonic Organism Regulating Psionic Unvercellular Stimulation. Strength Level Unassisted: Class 1-B Macrohuman Human Range. Level 10. Can press 1000 Lbs. Strength Level Power-Assisted: Class 4. Suprahuman Range. Level 6. Can press 60 Tons. Arsenal: Adam can create hand held fighting weapons such as a bo staff or nunchucks from his own body, although if they are knocked from his hand they will vaporize into smoke. He can always, however, replicate them up again. Fighting Prowess: Prior to the martial arts training he is learning now, Adam has had virtually no training in any fighting disciplines. His ability to become amorphous, however, and nullify injuries gives him an instant formidability that would be challenging to counter. Gear: Standard Nanotech Armored Protection Gear (SNAP-Gear), lightweight uniforming system equipped with onboard computer array, variable feed power sources, life-support, networking and armored protection. A voice- activated onboard computer ties into tactical local and wide-area networks using a “heads-up” holographic transparent 17-inch display panel while it monitors its wearer’s physiology. A shield mode provides operatives head- to-toe protection. Adairian Adaptive memory molecules enable SNAP-GEAR uniforms to adapt to a host’s application of wide arrays of energies. SNAP-Gear is able to transform into a small inventory of various non-combat outfits pre- loaded by its user. ANGEL Com (Communications Device), a neural transceiver implant that responds to basic cybernetic commands. The device utilizes ultra- sophisticated cerebellinguistic algorithm codes to translate human languages. Once set, the device automatically translates and feeds languages or dialects in one’s native tongue directly into the ear with an average translatability percentage ratio of 94.6% for all known language patterns.
