California when she was 8 years
old. Earning a Master of Science
in nursing, Julie took a Registered
Nurse position in a trauma unit at
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in
Santa Monica. Her work was highly
regarded and she demonstrated a
genuine compassion for her
patients' conditions. Following the
global event later referred to as
"The Neogen Flux," Julie became
aware of an increasing number of
subtle changes in the way her
body felt. While long hospital
shifts used to leave her feeling
tired and fatigued, she now
seemed to almost never be at a
loss for energy. Returning home
one day, Julie was horrified to
witness a stray cat that she had
been feeding get hit by a passing
car. She ran to the poor creature
who lay injured, unconscious and
nearly dead. She instinctively
clutched the creature to her
chest, loving it with all her heart
and crying uncontrollably. She felt
a warm glow come over her as her
body seemed to hum with energy
and was floored when the kitty
started purring and licking her
face seemingly unharmed. The cat
squirmed free from her arms and
scampered away. Had she
somehow healed the cat? She
tried to recreate the incident with
some of her suffering patients
with no results. One of her most
beloved patients, however, was a
dear old woman on her death bed,
and Julie found herself holding
the woman's hand, praying for her,
when the warm glow surfaced
again. The cancer and Altzheimer's
disease that had ravaged the
woman's body completely
disappeared, damaged tissue
became renewed and the woman
regained full lucidity. The same
day, a flat-lining patient was at risk
when de-fibrillator paddles failed.
Julie screamed in frustration
when the paddles activated with a
charge. The patient recovered
but when the equipment was
examined, it was found to have a
damaged power supply that could
not have powered the paddles.
Piecing together her new abilities,
she kept them quiet and began
covertly helping heal patients
wherever she could. She became
overconfident though and began
getting into conflicts at the
hospital by contradicting doctors'
prognoses that she would later
prove faulty when she would
secretly heal the patients' ills.
Several doctors resented what
they perceived as her
undermining their practice, and
Julie was suspended. Outraged at
her situation, Julie learned of the
UN's efforts to examine subjects
seemingly affected by "The
Neogen Flux." Taking a leave of
absence, she made her way to
Manhattan to participate.
Powers: Julie’s entire body
absorbs, stores and replenishes
any form of energy (kinetic,
potential, thermal, gravitational,
sound, light, elastic, and
electromagnetic). She can then
use that energy to project a
unique ion-plasmic bioelectric
energy that can shock, disrupt,
heat or augment power. As an
instantly replenishing power
battery, Charger can direct super
concussive blasts or intense high-
voltage lightning-like streams. In
its raw form, Julie's energies
mimic blasts of lightning, but by
reversing that energy’s polarity,
she can achieve a disruptor mode
achieving a range of more
destructive effects from dishing
out severe pain to disruptive
concussion blasts and powerful
explosions. Her energies also
give her technopathic abilities
that allow her to know everything
about any device or computer
system she can link with. Julie can
enhance and improve the power
of various weapons that she
energizes to supercharged levels.
Directed inwardly, Charger can
boost her own strength to

6 months of normal human healing
time in anywhere from 15 seconds
to 6 minutes, tops. As one might
expect, she has lightning-like
reflexes. She also discovered that
she can “surf” a stream of
charged particles to emulate
flying. Julie's energy stores

replenishing reserve required for
life support which might make her
immortal. Though she does so
autonomically, Julie does not
